Young Boulevard and DecLaring an Emergeney, Ward 7 On November 2Q, L975, the PLanning Commission approved the street name change from N.E. LLth Street to StanEon L. Young Boulevard and recommended the same to the City Council. Location: N.E. lLth Street Located in the University Medical Center Urban Renewal Area between StonewalL Avenue and Lincol-n Boulevard. Backgroqlrd: On November 20, L975, the Planning Commission approved the appLication of phe Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce to change the nahe of N.E. I-Lth Street betr,reen StonewaLl Avenue and Lincoln Bpu[.evard. This request is being made by the Chamber of Copmerce in appreciation of Mr. Youngt s efforts toward the buh-Lding of the University MedicaL Center area. At the presenE time, the recon"tt,r.tion of N.E. LLth Street is proceeding to the point where eventuaLly L1-th Street will dead end at Li.ncoln Boulevard on the rvest and Stonewall Avenue on the east. As a result, the change of N.E. 1Lth Street should cause very f-ittLe or no confusion. 41L property which will be affected is either a part of the Medical Centep Area or is in the process of condemnation for the MedicaL Cbrrter. As a result, no existing addresses should be affected. , Recommendation: It is the recornmendation of this office that the Ordinance changing the n4me of N.E. L1th Street between Stonewall Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard to Stanton L. Young Boul-evard. SECTION 2. That the City Engineer and aLl officers and departments of the City of Oklahoma City are hereby authorized and directed to designate said street and right-of-way herein narned by the name and designation as herein fixed upon alL official maps, pI-ats, and records of the CiEy of Okl-ahoma City. SECTION 3.
