Since that date, Dr. Marilyn Carnpbell has served as the JaiI physician for the City of Oklahorna City and has been paid at the rate of $450 per rnonth for services perforrned. It should be noted that Dr. Carnpbell has proven an extrernely satisfactory Jail physician, personally seeing as rrrany as thirty prisoners per day on all regular business days. The rate of $450 per rnonth has been paid frorn Oklahorna City Police Department account 43-l-20, Professional or Contractural Services. No increase in this fee has been granted since L965, and at the request of Dr. Carnpbell, and with the concurrence of this office, we would recornrnend a new rate of $600 per rnonth. Money will becorne available in the 70-71 budget year frorn Salary Savings in the Police function. You are well aware that other costs for rnedical care for prisoners have increased substantially during the reference tirne span and the proposed rate seerns quite reasonable when viewed in light of these costs and the quantity of service perforrned.
