Accord- ingly, dt the direction of the City Manager, three authorized Planning Department positions, a Planner III, a Planner I and a Planning Aide, were deleted from the L969-7O operating budget and placed under Water Bond Funds. The project was anticipated to require approximately 18 to 24 months to complete- The Planning Department with concurrence of the City Manager anticipated the restoration of the three Water Bond personnel during fiscal L97O-71 based upon the expiration of such funds. The Department's L97O-71 budget includes funds in the L-zO Special Services account to be applied for this purpose. Pre- sent Water Bond I'unds expire with the pay Period ending April 8, L97L, necessitating Council consideration of this personnel action. Thi s office recommends approval of this item.
