The rnaintenance bond is posted by the responsible contractor for any failures due to defective workmanship or matqrials. The terrn of the bond is for two (2) years for sanitary sewers and storm sewers and five (5) years for paving. Eight (8) of these bonds were tendered the Public Works Department prior to the Resolution which amended the specifications for the construction of sanitary and storrn sewers and called for a twp (z) year rnaintenance bond, I The Public Works Deparhrrent has re,friewea these maintenance bonds and concurs that they be accepted and placed on rdcord. It is the recornrnendation of this office that these projects be accepted and the ten (10) rnaintenance bonds be approved and be rnade effective as of ttre indicated dates.
