(a) Request of the oklahomalcity Housing Authority that consideration " be given to amending thd Zoning Ordinance to reduce the number of parking spaces required for public housing projects for the elderly. This request was made at a joint public hearing of the Housing Authority and the City Council and the Council recommend- ed that proposal for the amendment be submitted to the Planning Commission. The Ptannirrg Staff and Legal Department have studied the matter and recommend the following ordinance provision: "...If the dwellirlg is a Public Housing Project for the elderly, the land area shall be sufficient to provide one (1) pdrking space for each dwelling unit, provided however, that parking spaces may be provided at the ratio of oile-ha1f (\) parking space for each dwelling unit if t.he remainder of the land area available for parking is landscaped and maintained for park or recreation purposes until needed for parking purposes ". (b) . Resolution establishing a proposed enactment date of October 15, L974, and determining those entitled to notice of t.he same. Recommendation: It is the reconlmendation of this office that the above Ordinance amending the zoning o4dinance be introduced Tuesday, September 24, L974, and set for final hea4ing on Tuesday, October 15, L974, and that the accompanying resolution which establishes the proposed enact- ment date of October 15, L974, be adopted; and that appropriate notice be published.
