The first position of Engineering Technician, classification#360, salary range ZI), is irnrnediately needed since work on the southside sewage treatrnent plant i.s scheduled to cornlrrence very shortly. A qualified engineer presently ernployed by the City is available for this project and his t transfer frorn the regular payroll to bond issue is anticipat ed. The second position needed is a Building Inspector, classification $430, salary rar:ge ZL5. This position willbe needed within the next few rnonths when construction work for the new fire stations cornrnence. It should be noted that like all bond issue projects, personnel must be added at tirnes when projects are underway. Likewise, when projects are cornpleted personnel are either transferred (if openings are available), or dropped frorn the payroll. Provisions for funding these additional positions have been provided through the bond funds.
