The application must include evidence of a public hearing to substantiate that the units are in the best interests of the City of Oklahoura City. The Cooperation Agreement betr, reen the City and the Authority, as amended, provides for approximately 5,154 units of low rent housing. HIID advises that. the Cooperation Agreement alone is not acceptable evidence of a public hearing. To satisfy all requirements for Allocation of Program Reservations, the Authority requests that a Joint" public hearing to be held by the Board of Commissioners of the Oklahoma City Ilousing Authority, the Mayor, and the City Council of Oklahoma City. Recent discussion with Ms. Carol Tagge of your staff indicates that l,Iarch 21-, 1978, is a possible date for this hearing. This date would be very desirable in expediting the submj-ssion of necessary docureents to HUD and meeting with HIID deadlines. Your confirmation of March 21, L978'as a joint public hearing date for this inrportant matter would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, oe oe Executive Director JEP:kla CC Carol Tagge A11 Comrnissioners
