As suggested by Councilman Goree L. James, Mrs. Smlthrs Property has been s\^rept clean of two pickup truck loads of scattered lumber and other debris. Ttris task was performed on March 31st by maintenance personnel of the Ilousing Authority On several previous occasions both the ProJect Manager of our nearby S. E. 15th and Hlgh Development and our $ecurity Investigator, Mr. Don Roach, have been by Mrs. Smithrs residents to talk with her and to try and attemPt to obtain some kind of identiflcation of those responslble for vandalizing her propertv - alL to no avail. The Housing Authority has norv retal-ned the services of a resident security guard at S. E. 15th and High, who, for the past two weeks has worked very closelv with Mrs. Snith to catch those responslble. In fact, the security guard was responsible for l,Irs. Smlth being at City Ilall- last week to present her grlevance before the City Councll ln order to solicit assistance from the Okl-ahoma Clty Pol-ice Department. In addition, we have obtaLned the assistance of a Cornmunity Action Program worker to rvork with Mrs. Snith. His efforts, as well as those of the Housing Authority staff, w111 be to lnform the nearby resldents of the problem and to solicit their support in councillng thelr chlldren to leave Mrs. Snlthrs property alone.
