_*sr Council Agenda Itern No. X H ro l8l 6B- d.( //rillzo COUNCIL MEMO NO. 2106 tZcz TO: Mayor and City Council ocT I ffi8 FROM: City Manager SUBJECT: Request of Oklahoma City Housing Authority for Public Hearing The oklahorna City Housing Authority at their regular rneeting on August 21, L968, adopted a resolution requesting a joint public hearing with the City Council for purposes of considering an arnendrnent to the Cooperation Agreement between the City and the Authority. The requested arnendrnent would provide for an additional 2,000 units of general occupancy housing to rneet low-rent housing needs. In addition, the Authority is also requesting Council approval of an application by the Public Housing Authority for a prelirninary loan to conduct necessary feasibility studies. The City would not occur any financiat liability for either the loan or the request for housing units. City Council approval would, however, serve as the necessary awthorization for the Authority to request the Departrnent of Housing and urban Developrnent for approval of the additional units and the loan. Based on the above, it is suggested that the City Council set October 2Z as the date for public hearing for consideration of the appropriate resolu- tion and arnendrnent to the Cooperation Agreernent and instruct the City Clerk to publish legal notice of sarne, said notice to include a newspaper of general circulation, at lease I0 days prior to the date of public hearing Re spe ctfull Y ubrnitted, Rob rt H.
